Diverse work group to focus on your child's needs and 2nd shift to accommodate working parents
I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where I was born and raised; I have three handsome boys and one beautiful baby girl. I love working with children and families and have been doing so for over 15 years. Children aged 3 to 5 have been my specialty but I enjoy all ages and stages of child development. Every child is different and I learn something new every day from the child's perspective. With each new day comes a new adventure.
My background in early childhood is the following: I have a degree in early childhood education. I was a Head start teacher for over 10 years working with low income families trying to close the education gap. I strive every day to enhance the children’s education. I am the Assistant Director here at Trinidad’s where I work directly with the teachers in the classrooms to ensure our children's best interests are being met. This way I get to meet the parents and get to know them better so that I could provide their child with a service that would meet the parents’ approval and I also instruct my teachers to do the same. My motto is “Every child deserves a chance to succeed so let's give them one.”
My name is Liberky but my students call me Ms. Berky, I’m originally from the Puerto Rico & the Dominican Rep. I ‘am the lead teacher in the two years old room. Hi, my name is Melissa McFarlin and I am thrilled to be the new Site Administrator here at Trini-Dads Child Development Center. I started working in the childcare field in August of 2005 as a student teacher at Tiny Tech in Pewaukee, WI. After working there for 2 years I began working for Columbia St. Mary’s Children’s School-Generations. I was there for about 5 years, until I moved on to teaching at an elementary/middle school called Jared C. Bruce Academy. After working there I became a stay at home mom for a year. In December of 2015 I earned my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. I enjoy helping guide children in all aspects of their development; physical, social, intellectual, and emotional. I feel it is very important to create a positive environment for children in order for them to strive. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family. My family is a very important part of my life. My husband Marcus and I have been married since April of 2006. We have 3 children; a daughter (Mikayla) and boy/girl twins (Marcus II and Mariah). Together we enjoy going to church, hanging out with friends and our extended family, singing together, traveling, and trying new restaurants.

As an advocate for children and families I most enjoy working with children and families relating to the day to day challenges of this adventure we call life. I pride myself on being understanding and relatable. I, myself am a proud parent of two very intelligent children. While it is a joyous job it is also a very difficult job. I understand the hardships of parenting and teaching. I also understand that if we are to provide children with the very best start possible than as parents and caregivers we must work as a team.
I simply aim to forge the bridge and as a team assist with the skills necessary to help you be the best team possible for the children and families whose lives we influence. I don’t have all the answers but I know that together we can find solutions to life's challenges that fit your family dynamics. I honestly believe that we are all equipped with what we need to succeed. I aim to be more of a side– kick to your already super family. My work is enjoyable as it lends me the opportunity to share and learn with those that I come in contact with, thus making all parties lives richer and more meaningful as a result.
